I highly recommend this home

I cannot say enough about our stay in Cairo Montenotte in this villa. We took a family trip in October, when the weather is still beautiful. There were 10 adults and one baby and the house was beyond large enough for a party of our size, we could have fit more people! We were very happy with the house, we spent almost all of our time in the large kitchen and cooked most dinners there. We would go to the grocery store in town and get supplies and wine every day. Cairo Montenotte is a small town, but this was a great base for exploring the area, we spent a day in Nice, a day in Portofino, a day in Barolo and a couple days closer to home in the coastal towns. I should note that you MUST be comfortable with driving if would want to cover this much area! I am sure in the summer the pool is amazing and you may want to actually do nothing and just relax. We LOVED the pizza house on the property and had a pizza night, which was a highlight.

The best part about this house for us was the owner Martin and his partner Elenora, who runs the house in Italy. Martin helped us plan every aspect of our trip and provide pages of recommendations. He planned all my requests, which included a chef coming to the house to cook for us and a local wine tasting down the road from the house, both of which were wonderful, in addition to setting up dinners and day trips. He was more than happy to answer all my questions and helped with all aspects of coordinating a trip of this size. To me, this was very important. Once we got there, Elenora was just as helpful, I had many questions and would just text her and should would get right back to me. We decided last minute to do a wine tour and she quickly put be in contact with a tour organizer, she answered restaurant questions, offered to make or change reservations, call local taxis, etc. To me, having such amazing people who know the area at our disposal is what made our trip spectacular. I would highly recommend this home for your trip of a lifetime!

March, 2011, my husband and I had a wonderful stay in Villa Pavone Reale, despite the spring rains. The villa is beautifully furnished and maintained with all modern conveniences. The upstairs living area was perfect for curling up with a book on rainy days. And the villa’s location in the hills above town invited long walks when the sun came out.
The area surrounding Cairo Montennotte offers several interesting day trips. We enjoyed separate trips read more…

Surprisingly good, brand new

We were with 15 (6 kids 12-16yrs) in Januari 2011
This place is nicely decorated, for the chefs there is a well equiped kitchen and the house is situated in the quiete mountains. A fresh Capuccino or a nice dinner is not far because Cairo is just a 2 minuts drive. Savona (20mins) is nice place with the cathedral and palacios.
With the tenniscourt and swimmingpool the offered package is perfect for kids (It was too cold to use the spacy swimmingpool) and adults.
Next year I am considering to book again. We will go a couple of times to the ski areas.

Wonderful and very well equipped villa!

We had the pleasure to enjoy a week in Il Pavone Reale. We were a party of 5 families with kids (so quite a group). Nevertheless, the house offered plenty of space for all of us, and enough activities to keep us busy.
Even more important, the quality of the house really exceeded our expectations. It is very nicely furnished and decorated, and well-equipped.
The pool is great for the kids, but also sufficiently long for adults who want to swim some distance. The tennis court is very well maintained, and was used a lot by our kids.
Inside, the hobby-chefs in our group adored the fantastic kitchen, but the bedrooms, bathrooms, and living rooms we are also superb.

Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful estate

Everthing renovated in great taste, slightly isolated – but quiete and calm. Plenty og space for 4 families with children. Nice to be in the counryside. Many opportunities to go to the sea and the wine country. Loverly kitchen and pool area.

Italy at its best!

In my opinion, the description of the villa while is very accurate, it does not do justice to the location and quality of accommodation. The villa has been renovated to the highest standard in total sympathy with its surroundings. The layout is really lovely, with a gorgeous and vast kitchen. Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or your evening meal looking out over the hills and trees. There is also a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a drink before dinner. The bedrooms are well appointed and the bathrooms luxurious. It would be suitable for both a winter or summer holiday.

The highlight of our stay was the fantastic pool where our family and friends started and finished every one of our days! The stunning views from the pool made this area our favorite spot for evening drinks!

We found the property very clean and well maintained. The caretaker was very attentive and provided guidance on good restaurants and places to visit.

I would recommend the property to all of our friends and in fact we will be returning there next year for a holiday. There are lovely hill walks nearby and the local village has many reasonably priced restaurants to suit every taste. This is Italy at its best!

Gorgeous estate in surprisingly nice area

The house is wonderful, spacious and very comfortable. The enormous kitchen is a great place to hang out, eat & drink and then relax by the pool. The area is full of surprises: the land around the house is wonderful for walking, running, relaxing. The town of Cairo Montenotte is little known to tourists, but is quite charming and offers plenty of nice to excellent restaurants and the nearby coast is breathtaking. Highly recommended.
